Serving the south georgian bay foods with an asian twist

Honey Monster was established in 2018 on the main beach of Wasaga Beach as a seasonal business serving fried chicken dishes. Despite being open for less than 4 months of a year, Honey Monster won the Simcoe County Reader’s Choice Award for best chicken restaurant in 2020.

Shim’s family has been living in the South Georgian Bay area since 2015. Born and raised in Korea, Shim has a strong passion for cooking and likes to make and share the foods that she grew up with. Shim conceptualized Honey Monster Gourmet Crispy Chicken to serve the tourists on the beach and Honey Monster Fried Chicken & Ramen in Stayner to be more accessible to serve the South Georgian Bay all year around.
